Upper Westsiders who enjoy gardening at the Weest Side Community garden on W 89th St, and the greenhouse at St. John the Divine , and the 111th St Garden, and any other Garden Space in upper Manhattan. We turn compost, mulch, plant bulbs, set out seedlings, and do all things GARDEN!

Every month the No Impact Project (noimpactproject.org) plans days of hands-on events to give back to the world! Some of our events have included community gardening, painting a roof white to lower the energy needed for cooling, joining in activism events and compost and recycling collection!
… The $1 leases are for two years and the City has even teamed up with City Green to assist aspiring community gardeners by providing them with the resources and skills, such as plant choice, maintenance, and composting, all of which are necessary to successfully get gardens up and running, but also to maintain them for years to come."
